How do I know if I am connected to the Ares Network?

Make sure your Ares status bar reads "Online" with the timer counting. If it doesn't, then one of the reasons could be that you haven't installed the latest version. To confirm the version number, please check your top left hand corner of your Ares screen. It should read "Ares" . If that is not your downloaded version, please email us for assistance.


My computer skills are not advanced at all. How easy is Ares to use?

Anyone can use Ares. You don't need to be computer savvy. Our step by step instructions are simple to follow. If you are more of a visual person, we have a tutorial video which shows you how to use Ares in under 5 minutes. Still having a hard time with something? We are only an e-mail away. Click on the Support tab and send us your question. Our staff will get back to you quickly, so that you may continue enjoying your software.

The Ares Network is rich with a variety of music, movie, game files and more. It is as diverse, as its users around the world. With millions of files, we doubt you won't find what you are looking for.


Isn't Ares free?

The software is free of charge. Your membership fee supports our developers, who keep your current version functional & free of malware and to our customer service members, who are there to answer your technical, billing & other general software questions. If your software is malfunctioning and we were not able to help you, you can cancel your membership.


Is Ares Mac compatible?

Mac computers are popular, we do however, have a similar program that is best suited for you. Contact us for further details!


Is Ares AOL friendly?

In one word: Yes!


Do I need a Media Player to play my downloaded files?

We provide free copies of several leading Media Players. For music, we recommend the use of Windows Media Player (version 7 or higher).


Do I need a high speed internet to get Ares?

No. A dial-up connection will work just fine.
